Empties Round 2

So this post has been a bit delayed. My round 2 empties are from June 27th and here it is already November 2nd! So I have a huge bag of empties to review as well as update my project pan (which is also a post I need to make).

So this round of empties were some of my favorite items, new favorites, and new items I'm on the fence about.

I've been using this product for quite some time now. It is one of my favorite hairsprays because it is a very natural hold. My only complaint with this is sometimes it comes out a bit powdery on the hair if you use too much.

This was a new item I picked up. I was trying to find a toner that was reasonable and hopefully wouldn't irritate my skin. My skin has never looked better. I've been using it in the morning after I wash my face and in the evening after I take off all my makeup and wash my face. The scent is not particularly rose smelling - but doesn't smell overly medicinal. But I've actually always liked the smell of witch hazel. I don't seem to break out nearly as much as I used to. I'm only breaking out during that fun time of the month. I've already repurchased this and it's going to be a staple in my routine.

I've used both of these for awhile and I honestly don't see too much of a difference between them - but they definitely keep my makeup on all day! Definitely a staple on my vanity and I definitely can see the difference when I forget to use this. And bonus - it doesn't make me break out.

I have long been searching for a make-up remover that doesn't take my eyelashes off when I remove my mascara. Alas, while this is pretty awesome at removing my eyeshadow - it still doesn't remove my eyeliner or my mascara off any better than more reasonably priced makeup removers.

Another remover that I tried to find my holy grail makeup remover. While this one is more mid-range in price - it did well removing my eyeshadow - but still I struggled with removing my liner and mascara. The search continues!

I don't remember where I got this sample anymore but it did work well to clean my sponges. I didn't use it on any Beauty Blenders - as all I have are the Real Techniques sponges. It sudsed up nicely and cleaned the foundation really well. My only thing I didn't like about it was that it had a rather off-putting scent. It wasn't soapy smelling...just rather chemically.

But overall - I'm really enjoying trying to use things up and track the things I do use up. It's definitely satisfying to see what I've used up!

I might have been born at night, but it sure as hell wasn't last night!

I really think people think other people are stupid. Last night, I was the attempted "victim" of a internet scam. I wouldn't have fallen for it, but it is the first time someone has tried to pull one of these on me. (I'm sometimes gullible, but not that gullible). I have decided that I would like a new laptop. My current laptop is in excellent condition, but it's time for something new and shiny. Best Buy and various other electronic stores have ridiculous deals right now on laptops. I found one that is smaller and has the power I want. However, I cannot afford to buy it, unless I sell my current one. (Which makes sense, I'm not going to get caught in the credit card trap anymore!!!) So I posted my laptop on Craigslist. Had someone who was interested. And someone who wanted me to send it to their son, after paying extra for shipping. Both Chris and I thought it a bit strange, but as long as the money ended up in my PayPal account, I was indifferednt to who

My takeaways and thoughts on "Unfuck Yourself: Get out of your head and into your life"

For 2020 I am going to try and actually read more. At minimum, I would like to finish at least one book a month. Doesn't matter if it's a novel, non-fiction, self-help, or self-development for my career. I bought this book, "Unfuck Yourself: Get out of your head and into your life"  sometime in 2019 if I remember correctly. Started reading it - but I really wasn't in the right mindset in 2019 to read some of the books I did read in the self-development or self-help realm or even try and start. First half of the year was rather stressful and I felt quite sarcastic and bitter about a lot of things going on. Starting in September of 2019 - I was getting back into a better place mentally. And in December it really set in. So I picked it up again and started re-reading. (First go-round I may have gotten to page 30 if that). I totally recommend this book. I purchased the companion to it as well. This is one of the first books I actively highlighted sections in it

2018 is going to be a big year of changes...

So 2017 didn't end like I expected and 2018 is going to be an interesting year. In 2017 I filed for divorce. In 2018 it will be final and this will be the first time I will be single since I was 20 years old. In the aftermath of all that my life is drastically changing from a financial position for some time. I am required to pay both spousal and child support (even though custody is split evenly). While assessing my finances it looks like I'm going to have to buckle down substantially and declutter my life as much as possible in order to stay afloat. With that said I would like to continue writing as an outlet.  I'm decluttering almost the entirety of my makeup collection because I need the cash I can get from that during this time or today.  It will be a low buy to mostly no buy sort of year.  But I thought I could explore more project panning. Also I want to write about ways I'm making ends meet.  My instant pot is going to be my new best friend I think this year
