April, May, and June 2018 Empties

I am so far behind with this. I've been decently good at using up a lot of what I've had - including samples. This is a mixture of stuff I used between April, May, and June 2018.  Life has been super busy so I've not had time to do a whole lot of writing - as much as I've wanted to.

So much in one picture! I am actually pretty proud of myself for how much I've gone through. Some of the items are in closeups below. One of the items I didn't get a good picture of was the Farsali Unicorn Essence. I don't know how much this actually helps my skin - but I love the smell and I love the subtle shimmer. Only thing I don't particularly like is the price. I was lucky and acquired another one by swapping some of my unwanted makeup.

I had quite a few of the Urban Decay foil samplers of the eyeshadow primer. I've always loved their eyeshadow primer and have used the Original or Enigma (finally dried out on me after a bit) and haven't used much else except Urban Decay. I really enjoyed the samplers and I actually went and bought a full-size of the one in Sin. LOVE the shimmer. I've honestly used it on its own for a minimal makeup look.

These three foil packets are samples from Everyday Minerals. If you haven't tried them - go check them out. They are an awesome indie brand and have a great way to sample their products - just pay for shipping and you get some decent sized samples. Everyday Minerals - Samples <-- -="" 3="" 5="" a="" above.="" all="" and="" april...i="" but="" check="" could="" darker.="" foundation="" gives="" glow.="" gone="" got="" have="" i="" in="" just="" lovely.="" nice="" of="" ones="" out="" over="" p="" polished="" primer="" right="" rose="" shade="" shimmer="" so="" that="" the="" them="" touch="" was="" were="" you="">
This was a hair mask I got from Living Proof as a free sample with a purchase of volumizing hair spray. My hair is super short - I honestly didn't notice a difference in my hair using it. So won't buy a full-size. *shrug*

The Urban Decay Self-Adjusting Complexion Primer. This was very nice and worked well and I have a backup ready to go.
OMG. I put this in my project pan last year...I FINALLY FINISHED IT. I loved it. And I would love to re-buy it - but it is just so freaking expensive. I actually loved it's rather bizarre scent.
This was a deluxe sample of the Urban Decay Original Primer Potion. Will always use this.
Benefit's Porefessional is still one of my all-time favorite primers. I love the feel and the way it makes my skin look. And my pores do disappear. This was just a tiny sampler but someday after I used up some of my other primers I will buy a full-size.
Now these were some items that I ended up having to toss. The two Treat lip balms seemed to have gone bad on me. They smelled off and they were making my lips crack. In the beginning - I loved them. But since they're so huge and they seemed to go bad so quickly - I won't rebuy. The Tarte mascara was just a sample and I just didn't like it. And it eventually dried out on me. The Becca purple primer was nice - but I think it went bad as well. It had separated a bit and was starting to make me break out. So there was a bit left - but it was time for it to be tossed.
The Dove deodorant is one of my favorites - but it doesn't last a long time. I'm a sweaty person - especially in the spring/summer...well more like all year round. It's also good to keep that chub rub at pay for those of us who have thick thighs and wear skirts or shorts. The basic rounds - I use to put toner on and take makeup off. Just an every day staple I keep in my bathroom.
This has been some of my favorite deodorant and I'm definitely going to re-buy once I go through some of the others I have.
When these are on sale I typically buy them. They do a good job of taking my makeup off on the days I'm feeling too lazy to actually wash my face before bed. XD
Used up three more staples. The Micellar water does a great job as always, the Thayer's witch hazel is the my go to. I don't think I'll use any other witch hazel ever. And the Milani Make it Dewy spray was something new I tried and actually repurchased. I don't quite remember how I got this first bottle - but I bought a second one to use right away.
I was trying more samplers this June.  I went through two more Benefit Porefessionals. They had been opened for awhile and used a little bit - but I finally went through them. I used the Hourglass Veil primer. That is so luxurious. I would love to get a full-size of this someday. I also used two Smashbox primers. They didn't make me breakout this time - so that makes me happy. I had a bunch more of the Urban Decay eyeshadow primer foils. I so LOVE these. I also finished up another Becca primer. Which was good. I had a sample of Benefit's Gimme Brow. It dried out super quick but it worked. And the Urban Decay Naked Skin One and Done. It's Urban Decay...so I love it.
These are a couple items I'm retiring. KVD has been on my brand's I'm not buying from list for awhile now. And she's really put me off with the anti-vaxx stance. And I've hit pan on both foundations so it's time to retire. So the Wet n Wild Photofocus foundation - the first few times I used it I loved it. But lately I can't keep it from looking cakey. Not entirely sure what I'm doing differently - but this is going in my bin of makeup I use to mess around with.
The Purity facewash I think was in my project pan. And I finally used it up. There was a tiny bit left - but it's been open so long it was starting to smell a tad off. And the Up and Up makeup wipes are my go to when I don't have the Purity ones and I'm feeling lazy. I don't like eating cucumbers - but I sure love bath and body and candles smelling like them. XD
And my piece de resistance - I FINISHED A LIQUID FOUNDATION!!!!!!! This has never ever happened. I bought this this winter - as I was pretty damn pale. I love this foundation. It doesn't break me out. It looks natural. My freckles still pop through - it just takes care of the redness and any unevenness I have in my skin. I have a shade darker (3.5) for the summer - and I hope I can use it up before I go back to being pale....I'm nice and farmer's tanned/burned.

Well for three months - I think I've gone through a lot. I need to get all of this added up to see how close I am to my reverse rouge. These posts help me keep track of them. :)

I might have been born at night, but it sure as hell wasn't last night!

I really think people think other people are stupid. Last night, I was the attempted "victim" of a internet scam. I wouldn't have fallen for it, but it is the first time someone has tried to pull one of these on me. (I'm sometimes gullible, but not that gullible). I have decided that I would like a new laptop. My current laptop is in excellent condition, but it's time for something new and shiny. Best Buy and various other electronic stores have ridiculous deals right now on laptops. I found one that is smaller and has the power I want. However, I cannot afford to buy it, unless I sell my current one. (Which makes sense, I'm not going to get caught in the credit card trap anymore!!!) So I posted my laptop on Craigslist. Had someone who was interested. And someone who wanted me to send it to their son, after paying extra for shipping. Both Chris and I thought it a bit strange, but as long as the money ended up in my PayPal account, I was indifferednt to who

My takeaways and thoughts on "Unfuck Yourself: Get out of your head and into your life"

For 2020 I am going to try and actually read more. At minimum, I would like to finish at least one book a month. Doesn't matter if it's a novel, non-fiction, self-help, or self-development for my career. I bought this book, "Unfuck Yourself: Get out of your head and into your life"  sometime in 2019 if I remember correctly. Started reading it - but I really wasn't in the right mindset in 2019 to read some of the books I did read in the self-development or self-help realm or even try and start. First half of the year was rather stressful and I felt quite sarcastic and bitter about a lot of things going on. Starting in September of 2019 - I was getting back into a better place mentally. And in December it really set in. So I picked it up again and started re-reading. (First go-round I may have gotten to page 30 if that). I totally recommend this book. I purchased the companion to it as well. This is one of the first books I actively highlighted sections in it

2018 is going to be a big year of changes...

So 2017 didn't end like I expected and 2018 is going to be an interesting year. In 2017 I filed for divorce. In 2018 it will be final and this will be the first time I will be single since I was 20 years old. In the aftermath of all that my life is drastically changing from a financial position for some time. I am required to pay both spousal and child support (even though custody is split evenly). While assessing my finances it looks like I'm going to have to buckle down substantially and declutter my life as much as possible in order to stay afloat. With that said I would like to continue writing as an outlet.  I'm decluttering almost the entirety of my makeup collection because I need the cash I can get from that during this time or today.  It will be a low buy to mostly no buy sort of year.  But I thought I could explore more project panning. Also I want to write about ways I'm making ends meet.  My instant pot is going to be my new best friend I think this year
