March 2018 Empties

So March flew by and I was able to use a decent amount of items. Some make up and some not. There were also some items destined to the garbage bin and some that I'm on the fence about tossing. During my adventure in majorly downsizing my collection my thought has been to focus on products I truly enjoy using. And not just use to use them.

I finished some of my normal everyday items. This is my favorite body wash or it's Aveeno equivalent. I'm not picky if it's store brand or name brand. I love the Winter Candy Apple soap. One of my favorite scents. I don't purchase a lot from Bath and Body Works because I'm picky a out smelss. And then deodorant. Out of these two the deree worked the best and since I wear a lot of black the no white marks is a huge plus .
Used up a giant bag of cotton balls. I really prefer cotton rounds to remove make-up. But cotton balls are cotton balls.
Went through one of my favorite hair products. The Wella Texture Touch has been my go to for awhile. Currently trying something different (Bed Head) because when I went to repurchase I couldn't find it at Ulta. And the Not Your Mother's Whip It Up smells amazing and it did a good job with body and volume .
Colourpop brow products. The pencil I found hiding and used it up. I like it. It was the shade Bangin' Brunette. The price is good but I find that unless I place a large Colourpop order the products aren't that much more reasonable than others that I enjoy. And the pomade was in Dope Taupe. I'm on the fence of calling this dine. There is a decent amount left. But I feel like it's too light and I'm enjoying darker brows recently. And it feels stiff.

And I used up a Replica perfume sample in Beach. Loved it. I love the light summery citrus fragrances. And a full size roller ball is only $28 so I would consider purchasing a full size after I go through some of my other fragrances.
(This is how much is left of the brow pomade).

On those days it's super late and I'm tired these make-up wipes do the job. Sometimes the scent is too much. But I will keep repurchasing them.
NYX Control Freak brow gel has gone into the garbage. It flaked if I so much as touched my brows by accident . And the Marc Jacobs eyeliner just didn't perform well for me. I only tightline and this barely showed up. So into the garbage it went. I was tired of trying to make it work.
The Clinique take the day off cleansing balm went into the garbage too. My eyeballs did not like it. My vision would be blurry and foggy for a good 5 minutes after using it and I was over it.
And the last item - I will see if one of my sister's want it - but I didn't like the way it felt on my skin and it burned a bit.

That was it for this month. I'm so close with some other products that I know I'll finish them up in April.

I might have been born at night, but it sure as hell wasn't last night!

I really think people think other people are stupid. Last night, I was the attempted "victim" of a internet scam. I wouldn't have fallen for it, but it is the first time someone has tried to pull one of these on me. (I'm sometimes gullible, but not that gullible). I have decided that I would like a new laptop. My current laptop is in excellent condition, but it's time for something new and shiny. Best Buy and various other electronic stores have ridiculous deals right now on laptops. I found one that is smaller and has the power I want. However, I cannot afford to buy it, unless I sell my current one. (Which makes sense, I'm not going to get caught in the credit card trap anymore!!!) So I posted my laptop on Craigslist. Had someone who was interested. And someone who wanted me to send it to their son, after paying extra for shipping. Both Chris and I thought it a bit strange, but as long as the money ended up in my PayPal account, I was indifferednt to who

My takeaways and thoughts on "Unfuck Yourself: Get out of your head and into your life"

For 2020 I am going to try and actually read more. At minimum, I would like to finish at least one book a month. Doesn't matter if it's a novel, non-fiction, self-help, or self-development for my career. I bought this book, "Unfuck Yourself: Get out of your head and into your life"  sometime in 2019 if I remember correctly. Started reading it - but I really wasn't in the right mindset in 2019 to read some of the books I did read in the self-development or self-help realm or even try and start. First half of the year was rather stressful and I felt quite sarcastic and bitter about a lot of things going on. Starting in September of 2019 - I was getting back into a better place mentally. And in December it really set in. So I picked it up again and started re-reading. (First go-round I may have gotten to page 30 if that). I totally recommend this book. I purchased the companion to it as well. This is one of the first books I actively highlighted sections in it

2018 is going to be a big year of changes...

So 2017 didn't end like I expected and 2018 is going to be an interesting year. In 2017 I filed for divorce. In 2018 it will be final and this will be the first time I will be single since I was 20 years old. In the aftermath of all that my life is drastically changing from a financial position for some time. I am required to pay both spousal and child support (even though custody is split evenly). While assessing my finances it looks like I'm going to have to buckle down substantially and declutter my life as much as possible in order to stay afloat. With that said I would like to continue writing as an outlet.  I'm decluttering almost the entirety of my makeup collection because I need the cash I can get from that during this time or today.  It will be a low buy to mostly no buy sort of year.  But I thought I could explore more project panning. Also I want to write about ways I'm making ends meet.  My instant pot is going to be my new best friend I think this year
