An Update of Sorts...

So I decided to a little update to the blog. I didn't want to start completely over as I love my title.  So I just revamped everything a little bit.

I plan on rambling about anything and everything.

The first post after recreating my blog is always the hardest.

But a quick little summation is that I am - as my About Me says - very eclectic. I have diverse interests and hobbies and hope to share a little bit of everything.

I'm a busy mom. I work full-time. I have 3 children under the age of 4. I have a lot of hobbies/interest/obsessions and not enough time. I'm a chameleon. I adapt and change depending on who I'm hanging out with.  I'm a gamer, nerd, geek, and  a lover of history. (I've actually had a paper published).

I like to collect things. I have a fairly large book collection as I love to read. I do prefer an actual book over an eBook but sometimes the eBooks are just more convenient.  I love to play World of Warcraft and Diablo 3. I love music. I play the violin and have played since I was 11. But even though I'm a classical violinist I do love listening to Rammstein. I like to knit and crochet. I like to draw and paint. I also like being outside. I love horses and hope that someday I will own one again. I'm a total tomboy but I love to wear makeup. These are just a few of the things that I enjoy and will hopefully write about.

So welcome back to my revamp!

My takeaways and thoughts on "Unfuck Yourself: Get out of your head and into your life"

For 2020 I am going to try and actually read more. At minimum, I would like to finish at least one book a month. Doesn't matter if it's a novel, non-fiction, self-help, or self-development for my career. I bought this book, "Unfuck Yourself: Get out of your head and into your life"  sometime in 2019 if I remember correctly. Started reading it - but I really wasn't in the right mindset in 2019 to read some of the books I did read in the self-development or self-help realm or even try and start. First half of the year was rather stressful and I felt quite sarcastic and bitter about a lot of things going on. Starting in September of 2019 - I was getting back into a better place mentally. And in December it really set in. So I picked it up again and started re-reading. (First go-round I may have gotten to page 30 if that). I totally recommend this book. I purchased the companion to it as well. This is one of the first books I actively highlighted sections in it ...

I might have been born at night, but it sure as hell wasn't last night!

I really think people think other people are stupid. Last night, I was the attempted "victim" of a internet scam. I wouldn't have fallen for it, but it is the first time someone has tried to pull one of these on me. (I'm sometimes gullible, but not that gullible). I have decided that I would like a new laptop. My current laptop is in excellent condition, but it's time for something new and shiny. Best Buy and various other electronic stores have ridiculous deals right now on laptops. I found one that is smaller and has the power I want. However, I cannot afford to buy it, unless I sell my current one. (Which makes sense, I'm not going to get caught in the credit card trap anymore!!!) So I posted my laptop on Craigslist. Had someone who was interested. And someone who wanted me to send it to their son, after paying extra for shipping. Both Chris and I thought it a bit strange, but as long as the money ended up in my PayPal account, I was indifferednt to who...

April, May, and June 2018 Empties

I am so far behind with this. I've been decently good at using up a lot of what I've had - including samples. This is a mixture of stuff I used between April, May, and June 2018.  Life has been super busy so I've not had time to do a whole lot of writing - as much as I've wanted to.  So much in one picture! I am actually pretty proud of myself for how much I've gone through. Some of the items are in closeups below. One of the items I didn't get a good picture of was the Farsali Unicorn Essence. I don't know how much this actually helps my skin - but I love the smell and I love the subtle shimmer. Only thing I don't particularly like is the price. I was lucky and acquired another one by swapping some of my unwanted makeup. I had quite a few of the Urban Decay foil samplers of the eyeshadow primer. I've always loved their eyeshadow primer and have used the Original or Enigma (finally dried out on me after a bit) and haven't used...
