Empties Round 3 - the last of 2017

Just wanted to wrap up the last of my 2017 empties!! :D

I finished a nice number of products in 2017 and while I was going through my collection - there are some items I'm tossing because they are old and were going bad. (I also apologize that I don't have links...I wanted to finally get this posted so I can start working on my 2018 Project Pan and 2018 Empties).

I love my Aveeno. The Positively Radiant 60 Second In Shower treatment is amazing and I've repurchased it again. I didn't really care for the Clear Complexion. I didn't notice that it did anything for my skin in preventing or helping breakouts. . The Philosophy Purity face wipes are amazing and do a good job for my lazy days where I don't feel like going through all the steps I normally do to take my makeup off. I just don't like how expensive they are. The other Positively Radiant products - I keep repurchasing as I like the scent, I like that they do seem to keep my face nice and clear and they don't break me out.

I love the Shea Moisture 10-in-1 - I had the shampoo I finished as well as the conditioner. I dyed my hair several times and felt compelled to use the conditioner and shampoo that was included in the kit.

Mascara. I get a couple of months of use out of a tube before it starts getting goopy and nasty on me.

So the Briogeo was a no for me. I did not like the texture nor did I like the smell. The Living Proof Full Dry Volume Blast  is amazing. I love the smell and I love the volume. I hate how expensive these are. Can I get the smell as a perfume, please?
First Aid Beauty is one of my favorite brands. I love the Lip Therapy. While I hate the price - I love the product and will repurchase once I go through some of my other lip balm. And the Benefit brow pencil was a sample and I like both the product and the shade - but for the price I'll stick with some of my more reasonably priced brow options.
Eye cream confuses me. Maybe it's because my eye's don't seem to need it. This was ok. I didn't notice a difference but I'm just rather ambivalent on this.

And last but not least - these were items I ended up tossing at the end of the year. So the Too Faced Melted - I used it maybe a dozen times and the applicator got funky and the smell of the product changed so I just decided to toss it. I have a bunch of items from Notoriously Morbid that just straight up went bad which I'm very sad about. :( Their products are amazing I just let them sit for way too long. Same with the AFK Cosmetics lip products. The Tarte lipsurgence was awesome. I loved it. My 3 year old daughter, Lilly, got into it and destroyed it.

2017 was a good year for using up some of my items. I hope to do even better in 2018 and show some love to my collection. :)

I might have been born at night, but it sure as hell wasn't last night!

I really think people think other people are stupid. Last night, I was the attempted "victim" of a internet scam. I wouldn't have fallen for it, but it is the first time someone has tried to pull one of these on me. (I'm sometimes gullible, but not that gullible). I have decided that I would like a new laptop. My current laptop is in excellent condition, but it's time for something new and shiny. Best Buy and various other electronic stores have ridiculous deals right now on laptops. I found one that is smaller and has the power I want. However, I cannot afford to buy it, unless I sell my current one. (Which makes sense, I'm not going to get caught in the credit card trap anymore!!!) So I posted my laptop on Craigslist. Had someone who was interested. And someone who wanted me to send it to their son, after paying extra for shipping. Both Chris and I thought it a bit strange, but as long as the money ended up in my PayPal account, I was indifferednt to who...

My takeaways and thoughts on "Unfuck Yourself: Get out of your head and into your life"

For 2020 I am going to try and actually read more. At minimum, I would like to finish at least one book a month. Doesn't matter if it's a novel, non-fiction, self-help, or self-development for my career. I bought this book, "Unfuck Yourself: Get out of your head and into your life"  sometime in 2019 if I remember correctly. Started reading it - but I really wasn't in the right mindset in 2019 to read some of the books I did read in the self-development or self-help realm or even try and start. First half of the year was rather stressful and I felt quite sarcastic and bitter about a lot of things going on. Starting in September of 2019 - I was getting back into a better place mentally. And in December it really set in. So I picked it up again and started re-reading. (First go-round I may have gotten to page 30 if that). I totally recommend this book. I purchased the companion to it as well. This is one of the first books I actively highlighted sections in it ...

April, May, and June 2018 Empties

I am so far behind with this. I've been decently good at using up a lot of what I've had - including samples. This is a mixture of stuff I used between April, May, and June 2018.  Life has been super busy so I've not had time to do a whole lot of writing - as much as I've wanted to.  So much in one picture! I am actually pretty proud of myself for how much I've gone through. Some of the items are in closeups below. One of the items I didn't get a good picture of was the Farsali Unicorn Essence. I don't know how much this actually helps my skin - but I love the smell and I love the subtle shimmer. Only thing I don't particularly like is the price. I was lucky and acquired another one by swapping some of my unwanted makeup. I had quite a few of the Urban Decay foil samplers of the eyeshadow primer. I've always loved their eyeshadow primer and have used the Original or Enigma (finally dried out on me after a bit) and haven't used...
